Progress on This Week's Recycling Incidents Was as Follows:

 

[Progress on the 150,000-Set Power Battery Recycling and Reuse Project in Jining, Shandong] Recently, the environmental impact assessment document for the "Green Disassembly, Energy Saving, Emission Reduction, and Recycling Reuse of Vehicle Power Battery Packs Project" by Shandong Yuandong Weilai Low-Carbon Technology Co., Ltd. has been approved. The project is a new construction project located in the Jindong Industrial Park, Gaohe Street, Jinxiang County, Jining City. It involves leasing existing factory buildings to build 3 second-life application disassembly lines and 2 reuse production lines, with an annual capacity to disassemble 50,000 retired power battery packs and assemble 100,000 second-life battery products.

 

[New Progress on Recycling Project in Hunan] Recently, the Xiangxiang Municipal People's Government in Hunan Province announced a change in the planning scheme for the 20,000 mt scrap lithium-ion battery disassembly and recycling project and the annual 30,000 mt battery-grade lithium carbonate project. The main change in the scheme is that Yuneng Cycle optimized the positions of areas such as production workshops, tank farms, warehouses, green spaces, and parking spaces in the new plan. Among them, the 20,000 mt scrap lithium-ion battery disassembly and recycling project had already initiated the environmental impact assessment announcement process as early as November 2024. The total investment in this project reached 150 million yuan, and it is planned to be constructed within the reserved second-phase land of the existing plant area. After completion, the project will have an annual production scale capable of disassembling and recycling 20,000 mt of scrap lithium batteries.

 

[Launch of the 120,000 mt LFP Black Mass Comprehensive Reprocessing Project in Hubei] Recently, the Huanggang High-Tech Industrial Development Zone in Hubei issued the first environmental information announcement for the "Annual Processing of 120,000 mt LFP Black Mass Comprehensive Reprocessing Project" by Hubei Ruiyuan New Materials Co., Ltd. The total project investment is 700 million yuan, with a designed annual processing capacity of 120,000 mt of LFP black mass.

 

[Launch of the 12,000 mt Lithium Carbonate Technological Transformation Project in Jiangsu Province] Recently, another lithium chemicals enterprise decided to carry out technological transformation of its project. A notice released by the Haimen District Data Bureau of Nantong City shows that the "Battery-Grade Lithium Carbonate Production Line Green Intelligent Quality Improvement Technological Transformation Project" by Jiangsu General Lithium Co., Ltd. has been accepted. This project is located at No. 42 Daqing Road, Sanchang Industrial Park, Haimen District, Nantong City, with a total investment of 108 million yuan, including 600,000 yuan in environmental protection investment. [New 40,000 mt Lithium Battery Second-Life Application and Recycling Regeneration Project in Shandong] Recently, Dejia Environmental Protection Company announced the first environmental impact assessment notice for its annual resource utilization project of 50,000 mt of scrap lithium batteries on its official website. The total project investment is 110 million yuan, which will be used to purchase equipment such as scrap battery disassembly systems, battery performance detection systems, second-life application systems, and disassembly recycling systems. The project will establish 1 new second-life application production line and 2 disassembly recycling production lines. Upon completion, the project will achieve an annual production scale capable of resource utilization of 50,000 mt of scrap lithium batteries.

 

[Hunan's 10kt Battery-Grade Lithium Carbonate Production Project Latest Announcement] Recently, the Hengshan County People's Government website released the "Announcement of the Public Consultation Draft for Hunan Bicheng Technology Co., Ltd.'s Annual 10kt Battery-Grade Lithium Carbonate Production Project," marking the project's landing in Hengshan and signifying another increase in lithium carbonate supply. Currently, the company has completed construction of the first phase of a new production line for 200,000 mt per year of new-type environmental protection high-end active calcium oxide, a 60,000 mt per year high-end active refined lime production line, a 100,000 mt per year calcium hydroxide production line, and other projects.

 

[Shandong's 40kt Lithium Battery Second-Life Application and Recycling Regeneration Project Lands] Recently, the Zibo Municipal Bureau of Ecology and Environment released the acceptance announcement for the environmental impact assessment report of the 40kt lithium battery second-life application and recycling regeneration project. The project plans to construct an R&D center, production workshops, warehouses, etc., and purchase over 210 sets of equipment including lithium battery pack disassembly lines, module disassembly lines, and monomer battery detection and grading systems. Upon completion, the project will achieve an annual capacity of 40kt for lithium battery second-life application and recycling regeneration.

 

[12kt Scrap Lithium Battery Recycling Project Approved] Recently, the Hegang City Bureau of Ecology and Environment in Heilongjiang Province released an announcement regarding the intended approval opinions for two environmental impact assessment documents, including the Hegang City Scrap Lithium Battery Recycling Project. The total investment for the project by Heilongjiang Chanlian Metal Manufacturing Co., Ltd. is 190 million yuan. The construction site is located south of Guangyi Wood Industry in Nanshan District, Hegang City, Heilongjiang Province. The project will be constructed in two phases. The first phase involves building one scrap lithium battery processing line with an annual processing capacity of 6,000 mt for scrap lithium batteries (including 5,000 mt/a for scrap ternary lithium batteries and 1,000 mt/a for scrap LFP batteries). The second phase involves building five production lines within the workshop: three for processing scrap positive pole pieces and two for processing scrap negative pole pieces. The total annual processing capacity for both scrap ternary lithium battery positive and negative pole pieces is 6,000 mt each.
